Sam Droege is a researcher at Patuxent Wildlife Center and is the head of the Monitoring Department Group. His job is to test, design and implement monitoring techniques for species and groups of animals and plants. In the past, he has worked on birds, amphibians, dragonflies, butterflies, and mushrooms. Currently, his main field of focus is on testing methodologies for tracking changes in North American bees. Most of that work now focuses on testing different combinations, configurations, and types of pan or bowl traps.
