Maria del Coro Arizmendi Arriaga is a research ecologist at UBIPRO, FES-Iztacala, UNAM working with birds and bats feeding interactions in México. Biotic Interactions involving vertebrates as pollinators of columnar cacti and other plants related to arid environments in México has been her main research line over the last years. Also, avian conservation ecology in México has been a part of her research activities, coordinating the Important Bird Areas program in México (IBAs, AICAs for their name in Spanish).
